Most document types such as Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Presentation contains built-in metadata properties. Using property setIncludeBuiltinProperties of MetadataSearchOptions allows to collect all supported built-in metadata properties of document. These properties are like document author, creation date, document keywords, titles, etc.
Here are the steps to search for metadata signatures within the document with GroupDocs.Signature:
Create new instance of Signature class and pass source document path as a constructor parameter.
This example shows how to get built in Metadata signatures.
Signaturesignature=newSignature("sample.xlsx");MetadataSearchOptionsoptions=newMetadataSearchOptions();options.setName("Producer");options.setIncludeBuiltinProperties(true);options.setNameMatchType(TextMatchType.Contains);// search for signatures in document
List<MetadataSignature>signatures=signature.search(MetadataSignature.class,options);System.out.print("\nSource document contains following signatures.");for(MetadataSignaturemetadataSignature:signatures){System.out.print("Metadata signature found. Name : "+metadataSignature.getName()+". Value: "+metadataSignature.getValue());}
